Casino in the Castle 2008

At the recent “Gold Rush” casino night at Belfast Castle, “prospectors” from throughout NI were invited by Holmes Wholesale Services to try to strike it lucky and collect one of many fabulous prizes available and, above all, to have a fun evening.

Customers, suppliers and media representatives were among the 140 guests that attended the casino night to conclude the exclusive Holmes “Gold Rush” promotion. At this invitation-only event, Holmes customers had a chance of winning one of ten star prizes, one of which was the headline prize of a luxury one-week trip for two to San Francisco .

To earn one of the limited places at the casino night, Holmes customers had to earn “Holmes Dollars” each time they purchased from designated suppliers during the Gold Rush promotion. The top-spending customers from each Holmes depot subsequently received invitations to the casino night to try their luck on one of the many roulette, black jack or Chinese craps tables available.

To win one of the many prizes, guests used their winnings from the casino to bid for sealed envelopes in an exciting blind auction at the end of the night. The delighted winners of the star prize were Una and Caoimh Johnston representing McCann’s Vivo store in Toomebridge.

Prizes were presented on the night by the management team of Holmes Wholesale Services headed by General Manager Neil Donnelly. He commented, “Our casino event has again proven to be a great success as measured by its popularity and the universal enjoyment on the night. The event enables us to display our gratitude to customers for their ongoing loyalty during a time of transition for our business as we bed in our new operating structure in an increasingly difficult trading environment. We appreciate that everyone has taken time out of their busy schedules to join us for this event and we look forward to further cementing our customer relationships in the year ahead with a busy schedule of support activity”.
